Daily Mirror, anorexia and bulemia up 15% in nine years

The number of people diagnosed with an eating disorder has risen 15% in nine years.

There are now 12,400 new cases in people aged between 10 and 49 every 12 months, according to the BMJ Open.

We’ve created this handy infographic so you can see, at a glance, which under-18s are in custody right now.

As well as the total figures, and how they have changed from last month and last year, we have included the gender split, the age and ethnicity of those in custody, and where they have come from in the country.

Press Gazette, South Wales Evening Post 1990s campaign blamed for current measles outbreak

A campaign by the South Wales Evening Post in the late 1990s has been cited as one possible cause for a measles outbreak in Wales.

The BBC’s Today programme's Hywel Griffith reported today: "Health service officials claim that one of the main reasons Swansea is at the centre of the epidemic is because the local Evening Post ran a campaign raising concerns about the MMR vaccine in the late 90s."

Not-for-profit news website openDemocracy has been saved from closure after raising £250,000.

Editor-in-chief Magnus Nome said: “Our immediate threat of closure is not there anymore, we have 2013 fully funded. It’s a relief.”
